Tilda + Taste Panel + delicious recipes = Happy mealtimes!

This has to be one of the most exciting food events I have been involved in this year and I feel honoured to be sharing this platform with Jo Pratt and Azmina Govindji; two well respected names in the field when it comes to food, nutrition and making recipes that much more appealing.

The Tilda Taste Panel is made up of three mums, with an aim to provide advice on healthy and delicious meals which the whole family will enjoy. Jo and I have been involved with Tilda in creating some amazing recipes which will help busy mums make quick, easy & convenient suppers. Also Azmina will be on hand to advice on how to ensure the family diet is healthy & balanced along the way. The media event for the launch of the Taste Panel was held at the Waitrose Cookery School in London early last month and was a fab event comprising of foodie folk, columnists, food bloggers and the best part was they all came along with their kids! (Or little helpers shall we say!)

I did a cookery demo for all those attending showcasing a delicious recipe for zesty Lemon & Salmon Kedgeree using the New Tilda Steamed Basmati Lemon pouch, using minimum ingredients and herbs such as dill (which a lot of kids weren’t that keen on) to make a meal that all the grownups & children who attended happily delved in and were even after seconds! Jo cooked up a really quick & moreish Special Fried Rice. All those attending got a chance to cook up the recipe with their kids at the cookery school followed by lunch.

On a more personal note; being a working mum myself and always vying to cook up healthy and delicious meals for my own family; I tend to use a few store cupboard staples along with following a few shortcuts in the kitchen which help speed up those time pressed midweek meals. Choosing to go with recipes that are quick with few ingredients always helps! I can totally relate to all the things the mums who attended shared.
