Its been a whirlwind of a year so far! From working on my debut cookbook to cooking with Jamie Oliver for his online channel Food Tube and Heston Blumenthal. And getting a name check from Yotam Ottolenghi.
Through all the excitement there has been lots of cooking, tasting and writing been happening (behind the scenes!) on a collection of recipes for my forthcoming cookbook. Recipes that have been part of my family for as long as I can remember and some (might I add) without any measurements which have kept me up for days hoping to get the precise taste as I remember when I was younger. I have been keen to share a selection of recipes that not just offer something traditional but a regional variety just as it would if it were cooked in an Indian household.
I am immensely proud of this piece of work and its ofcourse been a collective effort from the team at Hodder & Stoughton. The photography from Helen, to the styling and design team has in every which way reflected how I see my food and culminated in creating beautiful plates of Indian dishes.
So as a little snippet; I am hugely excited to share the cover of the book with you and to find out more about Indian Kitchen make sure to check out Amazon. I am looking forward to a year ahead in 2015 with loads more Indian cooking and also cant wait to for you all to try the recipes when its out!
