Garam masala is a blend of aromatic ground spices used as a base in many Indian curries. The proportion of spices varies in Indian households and also regional Indian cuisines have their own unique blends. You can find any of these ingredients to be part of the blend including cumin, coriander, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and black pepper. Perfect to add to curries towards the end of cooking for warmth and flavour.
